detected a forum on the Internet that a cybercriminal,
who calls himself ‘Kirllos’, put up to sell accounts
of the social network that can be utilizied to create scams and frauds on-line. There are over 1.5 million accounts available to buy.

In Latinamerica 29.5 million products were sold in the year 2009, a 40% increase than that of 2008, according to an article in the magazine, MercadoLibre. In total, the sum of sales adds up to $2.750 million, with a 32% increase.

The social network tries to improve for its users by blocking unwelcome hackers or offensive content.
Los Ángeles (EFE). the social network of the Internet Facebook presented today its virtual security center to help prevent abuse and protect the more than 400 million users that use the network around the world.
The Californian company informed that it redesigned its available tools on its site to improve security, giving its menu functions more stability and giving advice to parents, teens, professors and law enforcement.
With a question-answer based system, Facebook vied to better understand its users, many of them young teenagers, about how to deny entry to hackers and offensive content.

Nielsen has published new stats about the general tendencies of Internet purchasing. According to the stats more than 875 million consumers made purchases on-line, with the number of consumers increasing by 40% in the last 2 years.
Of all the Internet users who make purchases on-line, the ones that reach the mayority are from the following countries: South Korea (99%), United Kingdom (97%), Germany (97%), Japan (97%) and the United States (94%). On the other hand, the most products purchased are: Books (41% increased in the last 3 months), clothes /accessories / shoes (36%), videos / DVDs / games (24%), airline tickets (24%) and electronic equipment (23%).
The most used credit card to make these purchases has been Visa. And, according to the Neilsen stats, more than half of the earth's population has made at least one purchase in the last month. “In our busy and crowded lifestyle, it isn't odd that an invaluable commodity such as the Internet is used to investigate and buy products.”, states Jonathan Carson, International President of Nielsen Online.
“When the Nielsen company completed its first world-wide study about the use of purchasing by Internet, in 2 years, approximately 10% of the world population (627 million) has purchased on-line.”, declares Paul Bruce, Vice-President of the investigation by Nielsen in the United States. “In just 2 years, this number will increase by 40% (about 875 million).”.
